She has been part of a variety of commercially and critically acclaimed projects since the time of her debut in the film, such as "Scott Pilgrim Vs. America". Anna Cook Kendrick was born in Portland, Maine on the 9th August 1985. Her mother was an accountant while her father was a teacher of history. Anna was born to Michael, her older brother who was an actor. Michael later became an actor. Anna Kendrick started auditioning for Broadway productions as a teenager at Deering High School, Portland. When she was only 12 her first big theater performance was High Society. Although she was a child her performance was a hit and earned her many nominations and awards. She was an actress in A Little Night Music as an actress in a part-time capacity. When she was 15 she made her debut on the film Camp the same year. Kendrick was nominated for an Oscar nomination for her performance as well as Rocket Science 2007.
