
Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22, 1975)[1] is an American actress and director. She is also a talk show host, and author. She belongs to the Barrymore acting family. She has won numerous awards and nominations, including an award for a Golden Globe Award as well as the Screen Actors Guild Award. There are also nominations for seven Emmy Awards, and a British Academy Film Award. She was honored with an award on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2004.Barrymore gained fame as a child actor after her breakout performance in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. After a troubled childhood that included alcohol and drugs dependence, she released Little Girl Lost, an autobiography. She was a major character in a variety of successful films from the 1990s and 2000s including Charlie's Angels. Barrymore as well as Adam Sandler starred in the films The Wedding Singer 50 First Dates Blended, and Firestarter, Donnie Darko and Riding in Cars with Boys are among her other films. She was also in her first directorial film Whip It. Grey Gardens was her first film. She won a Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as an Golden Globe Award. She is currently the host of The Drew Barrymore Show, her talk show that is syndicated.
